Raising the profile of chemical sciences to students

NCH Europe will be delivering a workshop talk at this year's Chemistry at Work event, being held at the Black Country Living Museum in Dudley from 11th to 13th September 2015. The three day event will raise the profile of the chemical sciences to 360 young people in education. Speaking at the event will be Brian Booth, Vice President of the Water Treatment Innovation Platform, NCH Europe.

Researchers attend plasma processing presentation

More than 145 people from academia and industry attended a workshop on plasma processing presented recently by Plasma-Therm at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) in Hsinchu, Taiwan. The day-long workshop drew participants from more than 18 companies, as well as students and researchers from seven universities and research institutes in the region. The attendees represented a range of academic disciplines and industrial concerns involved in research and development of devices and structures for which plasma processing technology is often a critical step, including MEMS, waveguides, dielectric deposition and nanostructures.

Free course promotes moisture analysis accuracy

METTLER TOLEDO is pleased to announce the availability of a new online course called What Everybody Ought to Know about Moisture Analysis. The e-learning course presents actions to improve moisture content analysis accuracy. Offered free for a limited time, the course also allows participants to earn a certificate that can be printed for internal tracking. This type of backup can be particularly helpful when working to obtain Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) qualification.
