NEW SLIP RINGS OFFER RELIABLE & COST EFFECTIVE SOLUTION TO TRANSMITTING ELECTRICAL SIGNALS THROUGH ROTATING ASSEMBLIES
Inmoco’s new SRH 80180 and SRH 90195 series slip rings are designed for use in any system requiring the transmission of electrical and/or power signals to an intermittently or continuously rotating shaft. Typically this includes equipment such as video systems, robots and downhole inspection equipment, manufacturing and process control equipment, filling machines, medical equipment and packaging machines.
Both series of SRH slip rings deliver a flexible, cost-effective, reliable and high-quality solution. Offering generous 80mm and 90mm internal diameters (respectively), which allow cables and pipes for other services to be routed through them, the 80180 and 90195 slip rings are available in many standard configurations. They offer a high rating life of 20-million revolutions (nominal speed 250rpm), and the facility of from 6 to 96 circuits, with up to 216 as an option. Their optimized size allows installation into compact systems; while a combination of low friction torque, high insulation resistance (>1000MΩ/500Vdc) and tough ABS housings guarantees high operating reliability and long life.

The design of the SRH series slip rings allows Iow peripheral speed between brushes and rings, as well as reduced dynamic imbalance; combined these factors mean low wear for the user. Moreover, thanks to the use of noble metals and to a new technology, which allows multiple contact points between bushes and ring, electrical noise and interference between circuits is reduced considerably, and low contact electrical resistance is assured. All of these features make the SRH Series ideally suited to the transmission of critical signals, such as high-frequency signals (video, fieldbuses etc.), very Iow currents and voltages (strain gauges, thermocouples and measuring equipment).

Both SRH series are available for use with 600Vac/Vdc voltages and currents to 15A (20A optional); they are IP51 protected (IP65 optional) against the ingress of dust and dripping water, and offer a wide operating temperature range: -40 degrees C to +80 degrees C.

In addition, the SRH series can be easily customised upon demand, in terms of the number of circuits available from the SRH units, and offers the flexibility of both flying lead and PG gland connection options.
