“IP-54” Sealed, Low Current, 24 Vdc Gearmotor Develops 29 Lb. In. Torque at 230 RPM

Midwest Motion Products is pleased to announce the release of a new DC Gear Motor, with integral failsafe brake, the Model No. MMP D22-376D-24V GRA60-032 BR-005. Accepting any 24 Volt DC source, including solar or battery power, this robust Gear Motor measures just 2.24” in Diameter, by 7.2” long, including the brake, and has a keyed output shaft of 14mm diameter by 25mm long. Easy mounting is accomplished with 4 “face mount” M5.5 threaded holes, equally spaced on a 52mm Dia. B.C.

The output of this reversible gearmotor is rated for 29 Lb. In. (3.3Nm) torque, at 230 RPM. Despite its compact size, and weight of approximately 6 pounds, it’s an efficient design, requiring just 4 Amps at 24 Volts DC to generate its Full Load Torque. That translates into long life battery charge, very low noise operation, and lower costs for related drive electronics. Motor windings for 12V, 28V, 36V, 42V, 48V, 60V & 90 Volts are available. The integral failsafe “holding” brake is also 2.25” diameter, and operates at the same supply voltage (24V DC) as the Motor.

This unique design is rated at an “IP 54” protection level for operation in harsh environments. Variable Speed control can be accomplished with our fully compatible Speed Controls, Model MMP 25A-24V, or MMP 20A-24V-RSP.

Typical options available from the company include Servo Motors with integral Optical Encoders, Failsafe Brakes, Analog Tachometers, and a variety of Planetary Gearheads, with standard ratios ranging from 3:1 to 2653:1, and standard or low backlash precision gearing available. Motor Winding Options include 24V, 28V, 36V, 48V, 60V and 90 Volts DC.
