Thales Air Systems Division Selects EFD.Pro Engineering Fluid Dynamics Software Embedded in Pro/ENGINEER
Thales missile electronics facility in Basingstoke has chosen Flomerics’ EFD.Pro, the Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire-embedded engineering fluid dynamics software. EFD.Pro will be used to analyze complex defense electronics cooling problems at the front end of the design process. “As an engineer, I am concerned about solving problems in the shortest possible timeframe. Flomerics technology helps us in achieving this,” said Mark Pashley, principal mechanical engineer. “We created a short list after an initial investigation of available tools. Upon completing a series of benchmarking exercises, EFD.Pro’s ease of use, speed and accuracy led to its selection over and above the candidates benchmarked. In addition to the technology, I think it is also important to mention the support services, which in the eight years I have been using Flomerics software has always been excellent -- both in terms of speed and quality of response.”
“We are very proud of the quality of our support services and I am very pleased to hear that Thales enjoys working with our team,” added Gary Carter, Flomerics CEO. “As a matter of fact, 98% of our customers in the electronics industry recommend our software and services to others.”
