Multi-function footswitches now with heavy-duty multi-pedal base

The new design follows a development programme with hospital bed and procedure chair manufacturer that required a much more durable floor control solution than its previous supplier.

6241 puck-type switches are typically available with SPST contacts up to 24VDC at 50mA and have a low operating force of less than 10N for maximum user comfort.  For medical device and medical support equipment applications UL & IEC 60601 standards approval is available and the overall base can be supplied with an IPX8 environmental rating.

Thanks to Herga´s custom design capability, the number and positioning of the individual switches and the base dimensions can be matched to customer´s requirements with colour, screen print graphics and logos optionally available.

The 6241 puck switch is available individually or as part of other multi-function switching ranges.
