The new WYKO thermography department based in Tyseley, Birmingham has achieved a notable success in offering the Coors brewery in Burton the potential to save up to £60K annually in energy costs.

WYKO International has changed its name to ERIKS International. The name change is part of the major rebranding campaign that the company has undertaken since the £139 million acquisition of WYKO by ERIKS nv in November 2006.

WYKO has won a contract with South West Water supporting its in-house workshops for motor repair or replacement and assisting with submersible pump refurbishment. WEMS (WYKO Electrical Mechanical Services) will work with Siemens as the nominated motor manufacturer for South West Water (SWW) for the supply of new electric motors.

To support its burgeoning success and growth since its acquisition by ERIKS Group nv, and also to help provide a pool of engineering expertise for the future, WYKO, an ERIKS company, is increasing the intake for its renowned range of apprenticeship and training schemes. During 2008, the company is expecting to recruit up to 45 new members to the schemes.

WYKO, an ERIKS Company will share its expertise during a master class entitled Energy Savings in Buildings at Sustainable Development 2008 that takes place at 2pm at the Barbican Conference Centre, London on 21st February.

WYKO has announced that from 31st January 2008 its Integrated Solutions Divison will be renamed ERIKS Integrated Solutions. The name change is the latest part of the major rebranding campaign that the company has undertaken since the £139 million acquisition of WYKO by ERIKS in November 2006.

In recent years, Icopal, the world's foremost supplier of building protection products, has been achieving substantial and consistent savings at its manufacturing plant in Manchester by using the specialist maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) service offered by WYKO, an ERIKS Company and Europe's undisputed market leader in industrial products and services.

Customers of WYKO, an ERIKS Company were given unprecedented access to a wide range of technical know-how and advice at a special event in Carlisle last month. The inaugural ‘Know-How Makes a Difference Day’, hosted by Pirelli Tyres in Carlisle, was a resounding success and saw over 500 customers visit over the course of the day.

WYKO, an ERIKS Company has announced its acquisition of Forco Electrical Services Limited based in Exeter. The specialist industrial electric motor service and repair company will become part of the WEMS (WYKO Electrical Mechanical Services) division and will represent the company’s most southerly facility.

One year on from the £139 million acquisition of WYKO by ERIKS nv in November 2006, the ERIKS Group is celebrating its strengthened market position. The Group is now a clear market leader in the industrial engineering parts distribution sector in Central and Western Europe and with forecasted sales of €940 to €950 million and approaching 4500 staff, the Group now operates 214 service centres and 62 production and technical centres with a product range of over half a million items.

WYKO has signed an exclusive agreement with leading conveyor systems manufacturer System Plast to act as its sole route to the spares and maintenance market in the UK and Ireland. WYKO will supply spares across System Plast’s product range, comprising conveyor chains and components, sprockets and idlers, bearing supports, levelling pads and structural components, as well as technical support services.

WYKO, an ERIKS Company, has opened its first branch in Nigeria on the Ikeja Industrial Estate in Lagos. The branch’s official opening took place on 30th October and was attended by a number of key dignitaries including Engineer Olatunde Olokunola the Lagos State Government Representative, Richard Powell the British Deputy High Commissioner and Marjo Crompuoets the Deputy Head of Mission, Dutch High Commission.
