Lighting controllers improve machine vision versatility
A presentation which covers practical examples, which illustrate the cause of poor results in machine vision due to variations in LED output intensity, will be given by Jools Hudson at the UKIVA Machine Vision Conference and Exhibition, who will also highlight the benefits of precision lighting control. The talk will also cover the ability of dedicated lighting controllers to reduce hardware costs and enable new application opportunities in both area scan and line scan imaging by creating multiple lighting schemes.

Keynote speakers for the UKIVA Machine Vision Conference and Exhibition, taking place on 27th April at Arena MK have been announced. Dr Mike Aldred from Dyson and Dr Graham Deacon from Ocado Technology, are the keynote addresses will illustrate how vision technology has relevance to everyday life such as household cleaning and shopping.

Free seminar programme features nine presentations
UKIVA will be presenting its most ambitious free seminar programme ever at the Photonex Show on 14th and 15th October, featuring nine presentations. The Keynote Speech, titled: Vision for Autonomous Driving: Challenges and Opportunities will be delivered by Dr Will Maddern from Oxford University at on 14th October. This will explore the demands on vision technology in controlling a vehicle.
