As part of the Hemlock Group, HPC Services provides high precision machining services to demanding customers in many industry sectors. When the company became involved with the production of tight tolerance parts for a new system for suppressing building fires, traceability became a necessity. This is efficiently and cost-effectively achieved by a TD412 laser-equipped LaserTop 2000 workstation supplied by marking and traceability specialist Technifor. 

Technifor can offer an electromagnetic micropercussion marking solution for use on all materials. The micro-impacts produced on the material surface using a carbide tipped stylus create a lasting mark, without creating stress or chippings. This new machine is the result of the process to optimise the Technifor range, adding a powerful electromagnet combined with an optimal guide system to produce marking of remarkable precision and quality.

The P5000ZEM provides a column-mounted micro-percussion marking solution What sets this machine apart is its ease of use, the precision of its marking, and its motorised Z axis which incorporates a probe, so that it can find the marking surface independently. It is designed for marking of single items and short production runs, for numerous applications: traceability of parts batches across a workshop, marking stations for aeronautical parts, tool identification etc...

XF500Zm is a marking solution with column mounted micro-percussion system incorporating a motorized axis and a touch sensor in the marking zone. It stands out through its simplicity of use, the accuracy of marking due to the excellent quality and fine control of its M1Cz stylus and by its motorized Z-axis, which enables it to automatically seek the surface to be marked. Ideal for single or small series marking, it offers numerous applications: traceability of batches of parts in a mechanical workshop, Data MatrixTM code marking for aeronautic sub-contracting, trade-in stations in the automobile industry, etc...

TF410, the new fibre laser marking solution from Technifor, is the entry-level version for medium and large run applications: automotive, medical, electrical or mechanical components, etc. Particularly economical, TF410 has a 10 W laser and retains the compactness and guarantees the proven performance in terms of marking quality and writing speed that have made the earlier 20 W model, the TF420, so successful.

To meet the noise level requirements for a new production line making silencers for DAIMLER heavy goods vehicles, the Eberspächer Company has selected the Technifor Company to apply a Datamatrix Code™ using a scratch marking system. Technifor is a worldwide supplier of automated marking and checking systems for identification and traceability. The marking machine can inscribe natural language markings and Datamatrix Codes™. This new product was recently added to the forty or so TECHNIFOR machines already in service on the EBERSPÄCHER site in Neunkirchen.

As well as improving its processes, ZF intends to combat imitations through its policy of marking parts. It set out to find a partner able to handle various marking technologies, with solutions that provide full quality and considerable flexibility for adaptation to manufacturing changes and progressive implementation of internal traceability. The recent order for 4 micro-percussion marking machines raises to 10 the number of machines acquired by ZF from TECHNIFOR for its factory in Friedrichshafen over the last 2 years. The model selected is the TECHNIFOR CN312SM system. Over one-and-a-half million gearbox parts are thus marked each year using TECHNIFOR equipment.

With the TF420 fibre laser marking solution, Technifor have brought out a unit that is twice as compact as the previous generations, while keeping the same marking quality level, and providing a writing speed of up to 2.5 m per second, and a skipping speed of up to 5 m/s. It is designed for applications involving medium to large production runs: motor vehicles, medical fields, electrical or mechanical components, etc.
