SPS IPC Drives

The Bavarian Government has approved the protection and hygiene concept for exhibitions in Bavaria signalling the go-ahead for the SPS IPC Drives 2020 in Nuremberg from 24th-26th November 2020. In addition to numerous national exhibitors, many international exhibitors have also confirmed their attendance and are looking forward to the exhibition season with eager anticipation.

  Smart Production Solutions – SPS, formerly known as SPS IPC Drives, brought companies together once again to share and inform customers and visitors about the very latest in digital transformation, with a particular focus this year on Artificial Intelligence.

This year will see the 30th international exhibition for industrial automation in the form of SPS - Smart Production Solutions. The show previously known as SPS IPC Drives may have a new title, but the proven concept and areas of focus will remain the same and continue into the future. SPS takes the digital transformation industry into consideration whilst showing the most relevant expertise knowledge. The show hosts a unique spectrum of smart and digital automation products and solutions, where you can find anything you are looking for from simple sensors, to highly complex intelligent solutions.

With the 29th SPS IPC Drives event around the corner, the organisers behind the event are feeling very positive, which testifies to the importance of the exhibition for smart and digital automation. Some 1,700 automation providers from all over the world are expected to be at the show taking place Nuremberg on 27-29th November 2018. Products and solutions, as well as trend-setting technologies of the future, will be on show.

Production is a large part of the engineering industry, and everyone is concerned and focussed on the future; Industry 4.0 and digitalisation. Therefore, a Smart Production Tour at SPS Drives seemed very fitting and exciting. Engineering Specifier went along to the three hour event to find out from a range of companies all there was to know about ‘smart production’ from WSCAD, Beckhoff, Balluff, Bosch Rexroth and B&R.

The SPS IPC Drives 2017 show, which took place last month in Nuremberg, this year offered guided tours for the first time, which saw specially trained tour guides show visitors directly to the booths of select exhibitors. Electronic Specifier went along to the tours, and during the two hour walkabout we were able to experience the most important innovations and exhibits for certain topics.

This year at SPS Drives there will be once again demonstrations to show why it is the leading exhibition in electrical automation technology. With 1,700 exhibitors from all across the globe, SPS taking place in Nuremberg from 28th-30th November will cover all the aspects of industrial automation, from simple sensors to intelligent digital solutions.
