An expansion is taking place with Schurter’s range of power entry modules with the introduction of the FMAD and FMAB CEE connectors.

The fuseholder standard IEC/EN 60127-6 has been revised to improve fire safety. Commencing from October 2017 manufacturers of fuseholders will only be permitted to market products that have been tested and authorised in accordance with the updated standard.

When it comes to household appliances used in unattended operation, the provisions of standard IEC 60335-1 have in the past few years placed higher requirements regarding glow-wire ignition temperature. These more stringent requirements thus also apply to installed components such as power sockets, fuse holders and connectors.

The V-Lock system from SCHURTER prevents unintentional unplugging of power cords on equipment. A variety of power sockets, Power Entry Modules (PEMs) and numerous country-specific power cords can be supplied as part of this system, and now also in white. Also available are power cords with V-Lock that conform to the “American Hospital Grade”.

SCHURTER presents its new standard DC filter series FMER SOL suited for use on the DC side of the inverter in photovoltaic systems. The filters are cURus approved up to 1000 VDC and an ambient temperature up to 75°C.

SCHURTER has extended the current rating of the successful 250 VAC, IEC time-lag sub miniature SMD fuse UMZ 250. This SMD fuse with clip is now available in 18 different current ratings from 80 mA to 4 A. The UMZ 250 offers time-lag T characteristic according to IEC 60127-4 and is an Universal Modular Fuse (UMF) with rated current values from 80 mA up to 4 A. The approved voltages are 250 VAC and 125 VDC according to IEC and 277 VAC and 250 VDC according to UL. The device provides a high breaking capacity of up to 200 A at rated voltage.

SCHURTER expands its filter product portfolio, introducing EMC filters for DIN rail mounting series FMAB-RAIL and FMBB-RAIL for 1-phase systems, FMAC-RAIL for 3-phase-systems and FMAD-RAIL for 3-phase-systems with neutralline.

SCHURTER expands its family of EMI-Line Filters for one phase systems with a new and compact high end filter series, called the FMBB NEO. Three variations of 2-stage filter designs allow a specific selection of FMBB NEO filter products for efficient EMI solutions.

SCHURTER extends its ECO filtered power entry module for DC applications, series 5003, with a newly added PCB mount version, and version with flexible wires to provide easy installation, cost savings and maximum performance in a lightweight and environmentally friendy compact package. Applications are in data critial environment such as IT, telecom and data encription but also in DC supplied industry automation.

SCHURTER has extended its range of DKFP current compensated chokes and offers now rated currents from 300 mA to 10 A. The DKFP chokes series cover now inductance values from 1 mH to 100 mH.

Piezo Switch with ATEX Approval

The vandal-proof latching action switch MSM LA from SCHURTER has been redesigned and is now also available with point illumination. For indicating the switching status or for providing visibility during night-time use, point and ring illuminated versions in red, green and blue are available. Different types of contacts offer a range of permissible switching voltages up to 125 VDC / 250 VAC. All options for the MSM LA are available in single-pole and double-pole versions.

SCHURTER’s IEC C14 inlet with EMI filter, series 5120 ECO design, meets the increasing demands of IT, medical and industrial appliances and is now also available as snap-in mounting version. The new ECO design provides cost savings and maximum performance in a lightweight and environmental-friendly package.

SCHURTER presents a breakthrough product, providing simple and universal EMC for high frequency applications, using X2Y® filter tech-nology. Series 5150 possesses broadband suppression properties to 1 GHz and combines them with the most simple and universal power input. This integrated and compact design provides an easy, safe and cost effective alternative to existing market solutions and opens new opportunities in the filtering of high frequencies.

The Schurter Group increased sales by 13,0 % to CHF 210,7 mio. in 2007. Cash flow increased to CHF 17,2 mill. (+ 4,2 %) and profit amounted to CHF 7,4 mill. (– 11,6 %). The result achieved can be attributed to a favourable economic environment and to a general increase in productivity.

By achieving the seal-tight protection class of IP69K, SCHURTER is extending the spectrum of potential applications for its already tried-and-tested PSE family of piezo switches. The qualification test was carried out using a high-pressure vapor stream at 90 Bar and a temperature of 80°C.

SCHURTER’s MSM metal switch series has been extended to include a version with a double pole contact system.
