Cable-free enabling with new wireless safety foot control
SPS Drive 2017 will see one of the products steute will be presenting as its latest generation of wireless safety foot controls. These RF GFS 2 D (VD) SW2.4-safe triple-phase foot switches can be used in applications requiring Performance Level e (EN ISO 13849-1) and SIL 3 (IEC 61508) and are optionally available with an additional emergency-stop button.

The characteristics of dusts often make high demands on the design of any switchgear they come into contact with, and as if this were not enough, the plants where these substances are handled are often located outdoors, where damp and extreme temperatures pose additional challenges to electric components.

With the RF GFI/ GFIS series engineers wishing to exploit these advantages not only have a new series of wireless foot switches at their disposal; they can also use a new high reliability wireless standard developed by steute.
