Designed for use in MicroTCA applications, the new Compact Cooling Package (CCP) from Rittal has the flexibility and scalability to provide targeted cooling in many rack mounted applications where significant amounts of heat are being generated. Each CCP is capable of removing up to 1200W of heat in an efficient, controlled manner and multiple systems may be distributed within the rack if required.

Although most of Rittal’s AE Compact Enclosure range is rated to IP66, they were not designed to be used as outdoor enclosures. The introduction of stainless steel models improved the protection against moisture and air-borne contaminants which made the enclosures particularly suitable for a wide variety of process control applications.

EPLAN Service Pack 1 for electrical controls design software EPLAN Electric P8 v1.9 adds extensions in reports, schematic and master data creation, such as intelligent PDF export, and consistency in the design and planning process. New search functions, the parallel tree and list view in the part master data navigator ensure even faster searches and a perfect overview.

Rittal have launched their new thermal calculation software Therm6, part of an extensive range of software tools, that enable an engineer to design and deliver solutions efficiently.

Rittal has introduced a secure outdoor cabinet complete with hidden cooling solutions. Designed for use in remote areas, or those subject to high levels of vandalism, the WK4 enclosure has no visible louvres or other obvious orifices for the air to air heat exchanger, or chiller, integrated into the cabinet.

Rittal have extended their desk-top series of instrument cases, the Ripac Vario-Module, with the addition of a basic, non-EMC, cost effective range. The complete range has also been re-packaged to increase customer options, provide greater flexibility and increase adaptability in application.

The new version of the EPLAN Data Portal is now online with functions that accelerate the organisation and administration of devices and components. Numerous search and administration functions are easier for users and make the engineering process faster. In practice designing becomes more efficient with the extensive selection of component and device data.

Rittal announces a new approach to data centre design by providing comprehensive solutions from a single source. “Rittal - The System” is a package that includes planning and consulting, the supply of infrastructure components and monitoring software to ensure the safe and secure operation of the data centre, all backed by a worldwide service.

Rittal’s wide range of subracks, all branded under the Ripac banner, provide users with multiple options for housing printed circuit boards or plug-in modules in a 19” rack environment.

Specifying the right enclosure for the right application can depend on a number of variables such as size, environment and material used. Accessories however, which are used to customise an enclosure, can also play a strategic part in determining its performance. Rittal now offer special interior installation rails for the fast configuration of its AE compact enclosures. Using this new mounting technique ensures the protection category of the enclosure remains unaffected due to the absence of any drilling.

Rittal has extended its series of secure isolators with the addition of a range of new NH isolators in sizes 00 to 3. Similar in design to the existing RiLine60 series, the new isolator cable outlets can now be changed from top to bottom within seconds. The position of the cable outlet can be decided upon just before assembly, and inventory costs can thus be halved.

Strategic partners EPLAN, Phoenix Contact and Rittal are holding a series of half day workshops and seminars to demonstrate how EPLAN, Phoenix Contacts’s CLIP PROJECT and Rittal’s Ri4Power design software, can work in synergy to facilitate in the design, build and enclosure of control cabinets. Live demonstrations will look to take advantage of the particulars of each singular software package as well as highlighting the time and cost advantages of using the collective platform approach. Proficient designers will also benefit from the workshops by further honing their skills and learning additional beneficial features for further design proficiency.

Rittal have released a new easy to fit subrack - Ripac EASY, which has been designed to be installed quickly and effortlessly. An established problem for subrack assemblers has always been the issue of holding the rail, the side panel, the flange, the screw and screwdriver all at the same time. This problem has now been eliminated with Ripac EASY. Simply hold the side plate and flange together while dropping the pre-assembled rail into position, then screw into place. The subrack is supplied as a kit with screws pre-inserted in the ends of the horizontal rails, which just drop into slots in the side panels and front flanges, thus simplifying assembly.

With over 50% of Data Centre energy being consumed by the cooling of technology, improving the efficiency of Data Centres has now become a key priority. Rittal offer liquid cooling packages (LCP), which not only solve the high density heat issues up to 70kW, but can also improve the cooling efficiencies of the Data Centre with the added benefit of reducing cooling energy costs. It is estimated that with the use of LCP it is possible to use 100% free cooling for nearly 70% of the year within the UK.

Rittal RiLine NH on-load isolators provide safe, reliable isolation protection from down-stream electrical equipment. Available either with or without fuse monitoring, the isolators range from 100 to 630 amps (60mm), sizes 000 to 3 and can be easily mounted directly onto Rittal’s range of busbar systems.
