Marine Simulation LLC announced the release of ROVsim O&G, their newest undersea simulator specifically designed for oil and gas industry inspection and working class Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV). Besides being their first offering in the working class ROV / oil and gas industry, ROVsim O&G includes a number of new features and capabilities never before offered by any simulator on the market today.

BlueView Technologies, Inc. recently teamed with Marine Simulation LLC to develop a sonar simulator based on BlueView's line of forward looking multibeam imaging sonars. The new computer based simulator is designed to be used with ROVsim® Pro, Marine Simulation's flagship undersea ROV simulator and will be offered as an optional module later this quarter. With the addition of BlueView’s imaging sonar, ROV pilots can now quickly learn how to navigate in low visibility conditions using the sonar’s real-time feedback. This technique of “flying-by-sonar” can dramatically decrease an ROV’s downtime resulting from poor water conditions. With over 200 systems installed on inspection and work-class ROV platforms, BlueView sonar are quickly becoming the standard for ROV operations worldwide.

Marine Simulation LLC recently teamed with Cabaco Marine Pte Ltd to sell two ROVsim Pro training systems to Seahorse Services Co. Ltd. to be used in their new ROV pilot training facility in Vung Tao, Vietnam. ROVsim Pro is a physics accurate, visually realistic and highly configurable Remotely Operated (submerged) Vehicle (ROV) simulator intended for undersea and marine professionals. By implementing the very latest technologies for real-time 3D visualization, it is able to simulate a wide range of mission variables: from changing currents and visibility, to electronics and gear failures.
