Based on the high-performing VICTREX PEEK thermoplastic composite, Magma m-pipe has recently achieved the world’s first qualification for a subsea pipe product under DNVGL-RP-F119 for Thermoplastic Composite Pipe (TCP). Global quality assurance and risk management company DNV GL defined its F119 recommended practice (RP) for use with pipelines in offshore oil and gas operations.

Exar Selects Magma’s Tekton and QCP to Accelerate Sign-Off of 40-nm SoCs

Magma Design Automation announced Exar Corporation has adopted the Tekton static timing analysis and QCP extraction software to accelerate sign-off and engineering change order (ECO) flows for 40-nanometer systems on a chip (SoCs). Exar selected the Magma solution after an extensive evaluation in which Tekton and QCP were shown to efficiently perform multi-mode multi-corner analysis and extraction, to deliver 5X faster runtime than traditional tools, and to provide sign-off quality results. Exar is now leveraging the Magma solution to shorten development cycles and accelerate shipment of next-generation devices to customers to meet dynamic market requirements

Magma’s New SystemNav Speeds Board-Level Failure Analysis by Enabling Signal Trace between Chips, Stacked Dies, PCBs and MCMs

Magma Design Automation has announced SystemNav, a next-generation tool that extends CAD navigation and circuit debug from integrated circuits (ICs) to stacked die, printed circuit boards (PCBs) and multichip modules (MCMs). SystemNav is the only commercially available tool that integrates multiple, interactive IC and PCB online trace and circuit debugging with CAD navigation. SystemNav allows rapid signal traces on chips, stacked dies and MCMs and PCBs. With SystemNav, fab teams can trace signals from chip to board, back to chip and then quickly navigate failure analysis tools to X, Y locations to determine the root cause of the fault.

Magma Design Automation brings its Silicon One Seminar Series to Europe next month, with one-day seminars to be held in the UK and France. The European dates are part of a global roadshow which includes events in the US, Korea, China, Taiwan, Japan and Israel. Magma will host the France seminar on Tuesday 8th November at Sophia Antipolis, and on Thursday 10th November in London.
