The Manufacturing Technologies Association (MTA) have announced that for the fifth consecutive show Lloyds Bank will be the headline sponsors of MACH 2020. MACH 2020 is scheduled to take place from 20th-24th April at the NEC, Birmingham. The exhibition will showcase the latest in manufacturing technologies, with Lloyds Bank's involvement being a pivotal part of the event.

MACH 2018 was victorious at the Trade Association Forum (TAF) Best Practice Awards and Dinner 2018. Shortlisted in the category of exhibition of the year, MACH 2018 took the top prize. Now in its sixteenth year the Trade Association Forum (TAF) Best Practice Awards recognise, rewards and promotes best practice amongst Trade Associations in the UK. The annual event formally supported by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.

Now there is just three weeks to go until MACH will get going and the manufacturing technologies showcasing will begin, and the MACH 2018 team have announced their full plans for Education and Development Zone. The Education and Development Zone will serve as a base for student visitors, as well as housing some exciting cutting edge educational projects. Over 3500 students attended MACH 2016 and the organisers are hoping for an equally as successful show this year.

This year the MACH show is much more than the technology on show, it is the place where the leading minds in UK advanced engineering come to share ideas that will help shape the future. The seminar programme for MACH 2018 is now live online. The Roemheld stand at MACH 2018 will be split into sectors to show market-driven examples of how workholding can increase competitiveness and maximise investment in machine tools. There will be areas focusing on automotive, aerospace, medical and general manufacturing plus a dedicated material handling section. The emphasis will be on increasing production efficiency through proven technology, ensuring that any investment is spent wisely.

At this year’s MACH show, Roemheld will introduce a new range of wedge clamping elements with patented safety bolts designed to attach a die set to the table and ram of a power press securely, regardless of whether the tool edges are straight or angled. A positive locking action allows even a heavy upper die to remain in place during maintenance or if the clamping pressure drops.

MACH 2018 is not far away now, set to open in April at the NEC in Birmingham, and it has been announced that the five-day celebration of UK manufacturing will be officially opened (on 9th April) by the most successful sailor in Olympic history, Sir Ben Ainslie. Sir Ben won medals at five consecutive Olympics from 1996 onwards, including gold at the four Games held between 2000 and 2012.

As there is only a few months to go now, before the doors open to MACH 2018 at the NEC in Birmingham, the team behind the exhibition have announced that visitor registration is now live. MACH 2018 takes place from the 9-13th April 2018 and will be located in a new home on the atrium side of the NEC, in Halls 17, 18, 19, 20, 6 and 7.

All set and ready to return to the NEC in Birmingham, England, from 9th to 13th April 2018, is MACH, the UK’s premier manufacturing technologies exhibition, which will see a new look and location. The biennial exhibition has over 100 years of heritage and a reputation for being at the forefront of the latest advances in engineering.
