Lee Spring

Especially for 2017, Lee Spring has announced an expanded range of DIN sizes with an additional 525 SKUs. These will include a new DIN-Plus series which match up in size with standard DIN2098 Part 2 and Part 1 series springs, but with added corrosion resistance (passivation for stainless EN 10270-3-1.4310-NS range and plating for spring steel EN 10270-1-SH range).

  Nearly having a 100 year tradition, Lee Spring has reflected on the growth and the availability that it offers in springs and developments in spring technology.

  After the release of the 2017 Lee Spring catalogue, and over 1,800 new standard parts projected, the company is looking ahead to a taster of new ranges which will be exhibited at the Southern Manufacturing Exhibition at Farnborough on 21st-23rd March.

It has been announced that standard catalogue company, Lee Spring, has three new variants of its torsion spring range with new free angle leg end options of, 120, 210 and 300°. This enables users to specify even more closely and to optimise their device design whether for electronic devices, chair controls, clipboards, swing-down tailgates or other applications.

Keen to expand its standard ranges, is Lee Spring, supplier of ex-stock die springs, and in particularly its Die Spring catalogue, which has been extended with 71 new items. These new items in music wire or OTCS (chrome silicon steel) reduce the gap between different standard lengths with additional options over 6” lengths, so making it easier to choose a suitable standard spring.

  A mainstay of many industrial products, are ex-stock standard sizes of extension springs in music wire and stainless steel, and Lee Spring has introduced 121 new sizes including shorter and longer designs, plus new 16.5mm (0.650”) outer diameter families.

An opportunity for designers, production and support engineers is taking place on 22nd September at The Williams Conference Centre. FAST Exhibition is for engineers concerned with spring design and usage to interact with the experts at Lee Spring, and to bring their problems as drawings, as physical components or simply as ideas yet to be realised.

Now available ex-stock from Lee Spring in 300 series passivated stainless steel, is the cone formed Belleville spring washers. Typically this design offers dramatic savings in height and load capability where they are ideal for common engineering applications requiring high load performance in a small space with minimal deflection.
