  Lantek, as part of its drive to increase efficiency, productivity and profitability through its Metal Digital Transformation technology, is introducing three new products specifically aimed towards the sheet metal and fabrication industries.

Implementing Industry 4.0 can seem daunting for sheet metal companies. However, Lantek has some software tools which provide the first steps, aiming to deliver practical and relevant solutions at an affordable cost, to produce an immediate impact on efficiency and customer satisfaction.

With a new layout and set up of halls this year, MACH 2018 proved to be a success as it was backed with the growing confidence within the British manufacturing industry, which made this year’s show one of the most successful for Lantek’s sheet metal CADCAM software, digital transformation solutions and Lantek Synergy concept.

Showing sheet metal and fabrication companies how moving towards a smart factory concept can have a big impact on business performance, Lantek will be exhibiting at MACH in Hall 17 Stand 670, as it is committed to helping the industry become more competitive and to promoting the technological advances that will help improve productivity and simplify industrial processes. 

Lantek has obtained the 'OMAX Compatible Partner' certification from the American manufacturer OMAX Corporation. As from now, Lantek is part of the exclusive ecosystem of companies certified by OMAX. This announcement was made by the company, which from now on will be able to integrate its Lantek Expert solution in OMAX water jet cutting machines to jointly meet the demands of the market in terms of productivity and effectiveness.

As part of its continuous improvement R&D&I strategy, pioneer in the digital transformation of the sheet metal and fabrication sector, Lantek in collaboration with Vicomtech, the Visual Interaction and Communications Technologies Center Foundation, has launched BeroSim.

Important innovations have been developed in Lantek’s software solutions to improve performance and adapt even better to the needs of its customers in the fabrication sector. These improvements are part of the continuous innovation policy that the multinational applies to its products and which bring the reality of digital processing ever closer for manufacturers.

Management software solutions company, Lantek has signed a partnership agreement with Turkish fibre laser manufacturer Nukon to supply Lantek software with its machines worldwide. Nukon’s range of fibre laser machines are available in power levels up to 6kW and have an option for linear drives which gives acceleration of up to 3G. The laser itself is fully sealed and includes automated dynamic focus, delivering very significant speed and cost savings when compared to a CO2 laser.

A very positive outcome has been reported from Lantek following its participation in the Advanced Factories 2017 fair. Located in Barcelona, this was the first international, professional event dedicated to innovation, automation and Industry 4.0. The fair saw the participation of more than 200 exhibitors, 170 international speakers and the attendance of professionals from 25 countries.

With the radical change in how sheet metal companies compete with the advent of technological advances, globalisation, increased complexity and ever shorter lead times, companies in the industry are now fully aware of the need to link all their production processes together so that they can integrate with their supply chain.

This year Lantek has opened its first UAE office in the city of Sharjah. With this new presence, the multinational software solutions developer for the global sheet metal industry is extending its international reach with a score of offices throughout Europe, Asia, the Americas, and now in the Middle East as well. 

Now a key factor in productivity and competitiveness for the sheet metal industry, production management has grown over time, far beyond other factors that have always traditionally been very important. Flexible manufacture is essential for companies to remain competitive within the industry and, to achieve a digital approach to it is a key factor.

Customers can usually select from amongst standard products and modular systems which are compiled according to their requirements.
