Interalia Communications, a leading designer and manufacturer of voice announcement solutions and provider of announcers to London Underground, is supplying an innovative audio and visual passenger information display system for installing on board Tyne & Wear Metro’s 90-strong fleet of trains. Part of Nexus’s £300m Metro: All Change programme, funded by the Government to improve Tyne & Wear’s public transport system, Nexus is investing £1.7m on Interalia’s passenger information system as part of its commitment to less able users of its system.

Warrington Borough Council is providing travellers with Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI) on bus arrivals through a state-of-the-art system that will help both able bodied and disabled bus passengers. Designed to meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act, the system supplied by leading RTPI provider, Action Information Management (AIM), through a partnership with Interalia, a leading designer and manufacturer of digital voice announcement solutions, and Public Information Display designers and manufacturers, Densitron Ferrograph, has resulted in a revolutionary RTPI system that provides travellers with both visual and audio information.

A state-of-the-art PA system has been developed for Caledonian Macbrayne (CalMac)’s new ferry terminal in Oban by T.G.Baker (Sound) Ltd. The pioneering product enables CalMac’s operators to programme a series of general announcements during the day and also enter the timetable arrival and departure announcements to free up staff from having to make manual announcements during busy times.

Helping London Transport improve its customer services and security announcements, Interalia, a leader in the design and manufacture of digital voice announcement solutions, has partnered IPS Ltd in the installation of its COMMANDER Platform and Station Digital Announcement System at Borough and Kennington Underground stations. The sophisticated system delivers a variety of platform messages to London Underground passengers ranging from emergency messages to customer information.

Maintaining its ongoing improvements to the underground system, London Underground has installed Transit Voice audio message system at Paddington Station. Supplied by Interalia, a leading designer and manufacturer of digital voice announcement solutions, and supplier of platform announcers to London Underground, the Transit Voice is designed to deliver high quality audio messages to public address systems including “Mind the gap” and “Stand clear of the doors”.
