  Etygraf has installed a Bobst M4L flexo printing press fitted with an LED UV curing system by GEW to boost efficiency and curing performance. It is one of the first narrow-web presses fully equipped with LED UV curing in Europe.

Upgrading two of its presses, a Crabtree FastReady four colour press and a four colour KBA MetalStar, Caldicot Metal Decorating, are increasing performance with GEW UV curing systems to improve reliability and energy efficiency. Caldicot Metal Decorating is a company with a longstanding tradition, and its end products include high quality decorated tinplate aerosols, confectionery boxes, food cans, decorative containers and closures.

A German-based family run furniture and interior design business, manufacturing finish foils and decor paper, has integrated three GEW-made 240cm wide NUVA2 UV lampheads with a RHINO power supply, in order to upgrade the final varnishing station on one of its gravure printing lines with a new UV curing system.

With the advances in UV LED technology, the use of UV LEDs for curing in the printing process has become increasingly visible throughout the industry. GEW have taken LED curing one step further by introducing a fully aircooled LED UV lamphead.

In 2014 Decolabel installed a brand new Nilpeter flexo machine with a GEW UV curing system: an FA-4* 8-colour press with 8 45cm-wide GEW UV-curing positions, four hot air dryers, a double die-cutting unit and a cross-over unit handling Zeller+Gmelin inks on substrates between 75 and 350µm.
