Hydrogen is a combustible gas that is difficult to detect and easily ignitable on contact with open flames, electrical sparks, and static discharge. It is lighter than air and consequently challenging to detect in open, well ventilated areas.

With its highly intelligent design, General Monitors’ advanced S4000C Combustible Gas Detector is now available with HART®. The new Model S4000CH detector is suitable for a wide range of demanding industrial applications where the potential presence of dangerous hydrocarbon-based combustible gas is a threat to people, equipment, and facilities.

Providing advanced protection against a wide range of hazardous industrial gases and oxygen deficiency, the TS4000 Intelligent Toxic Gas Detector from General Monitors is now rated SIL 2 suitable.

With a highly responsive ultraviolet flame sensor and advanced signal processing, the new high-temperature FL3111HT UV Flame Detector from General Monitors operates in temperatures up to 125ºC (257ºF), which makes it suitable for use in demanding process and plant environments. To achieve the FL3111HT’s high temperature rating, the instrument features a uniquely designed UV flame detector and electronic components that operate with very low power consumption to reduce detector self-heating.
