The Gassonic Observer Ultrasonic Gas Detector is a breakthrough solution for detecting fugitive gas leaks in compressor stations. It is a non-concentration based gas detector used to detect leaks from high-pressure systems. It responds to the airborne ultrasound generated from gas releases in open, well ventilated areas. Since the Gassonic Observer responds to the source of a gas release rather than the dispersed gas, it is unaffected by changing wind directions, gas dilution and the direction of the gas leak.

A majority of General Monitors Flame Detectors are now IECEx approved for hazardous monitoring in a wide range of industrial processes. General Monitors is proud to announce the debut of its new IR4000 Combustible Gas Detection Calibration Demo. This new five-minute demo provides step-by-step instructions on how to perform gas checks, zero, and calibrate the system's IR400 point infrared gas detectors. Users will appreciate the ease with which the simple magnet interface tool can be pulled across the IR4000M Monitor to activate an LED status screen and check the status of the end devices.

Gassonic has developed the world’s first gas leak simulation tool for ultrasonic gas detection. The new Simulator can be accessed in a trial version on Gassonic’s website www.gassonic.com/simulator. The new S4000TH Hydrogen Sulfide Gas Detector from General Monitors is designed to protect people, equipment, and plants from the dangers of hydrogen sulfide (H2S), and features the HART communication protocol for ease of field communications. HART is a field-proven instrumentation communications protocol that provides two-way digital communication without disturbing the integrity of the 4-20 mA analog output. HART permits several variables, parameters, device configuration, and device diagnostics to be transmitted digitally at the same time as the analog signal. Unlike other digital communication methods, HART is backward compatible with the installed base of instrumentation in use today.
