Gasmet Technologies, a leading manufacturer of gas monitoring instruments and systems, has announced a wide range of developments that further improve its range of FTIR analysers. At the same time, the company launched a completely new website.

Supplied by Gasmet Technologies, two advanced FTIR analysers are being employed to monitor multiple gas concentrations. The monitoring occurs simultaneously in laboratory scale reactors at Sasol’s Research and Technology Centre in South Africa. The monitors are being used to study changes in gas composition during the preparation of Fisher Tropsch catalysts which are used in gas-to-liquids (GTL) processes.

Entry to freight containers represents a significant hazard to staff responsible for inspection, stuffing or destuffing because of the large number of airborne chemicals that can be present. Research in Germany and the Netherlands found hazardous levels of gases and vapours in around 20% of all containers and this level of contamination is now accepted as commonplace.

Gasmet Technologies has announced that its FTIR-based Continuous Emissions Monitoring System has received approval from TÜV, the international certification body, for the EN 15267-3 standard, which is more recent and more stringent than the existing German Type Approval and QAL1 certificate, EN14181.

Leading gas analyser manufacturer Gasmet Technologies Oy (Finland), has announced its participation in the Achema 2012 exhibition (Frankfurt, 18 – 22 June). The latest gas monitoring technology will be on display at stand C49 in hall 11.1 (Instrumentation, Control and Automation Techniques) including the new Gasmet DX 4040 – a unique portable FTIR analyser that enables the measurement of almost any gas or vapour.
