Fujitsu Helps Stanley Electric Cut Energy Consumption
Fujitsu announced that it has built a system for Stanley Electric Co., Ltd. that collects in real time, and centrally monitors at Stanley Electric Group headquarters, the power used by its Group companies, including 27 principal plants. As one part of its company-wide efforts to reduce power consumption, Stanley Electric has steadily deployed the new system from July 2015 at each of its plants, and has now commenced operations at all plants in Japan.

Fujitsu Conducts Field Trial of Anomaly Detection System Using Optical Fiber Technology for Thermal Power Stations

Fujitsu Limited announced that, together with Tohoku Electric Power Co it has co-developed an anomaly detection system for thermal power station facilities based on optical fiber multipoint temperature sensing technology(1) developed by Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. This technology makes possible real-time temperature measurements of over 10,000 locations with one optical fiber. To confirm the effectiveness of this system, the two companies conducted a field trial at Tohoku Electric's Akita thermal power station, demonstrating that this system enables more refined real-time detection, as compared with anomaly detection based on existing discrete temperature sensors(2).

Fujitsu have added another version to their series of Extended Lifecycle boards for semi-industrial applications: D3162-B µATX is based on Intel’s Express Chipset Q77 and supports processors with LGA 1155 socket like Intel CoreTM i7, i5 and i3, the Intel Pentium G6xx, G8xx and Intel’s Celeron G4xx and G5xx series.

Fujitsu Presents Mini-ITX Mainboards for Digital Signage Solutions
Fujitsu presents at Kiosk Europe/Digital Signage Expo in Essen/Germany (stand 3C26) two new mini-ITX mainboards for the use in Digital Signage applications. AMD-chipset based, the models D2963-S1 and -S2 are equipped with two different AMD Mobile processors. Designed for use in 24/7 applications under full load and in high temperature ranges, both versions are especially suitable for the fields of Digital Signage, Kiosk, IPC or medical technology. The mainboards offer an availability of up to five years.
