Bentley Systems has announced the Bentley Education program, which encourages the development of future infrastructure professionals for careers in engineering, design, and architecture. The Bentley Education program is initially available in the United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, Ireland, and Lithuania, with plans to expand to the United States, Canada, Mexico, Latin America, and India by mid-summer.

OpenRoads Designer is a multi-discipline 3D modelling application to advance the delivery of roadway projects from conceptual design through construction.

Bentley Systems Incorporated congratulated Network Rail, owner and operator of Britain’s rail infrastructure, on winning the Asset Management Award at the highly prestigious Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Innovation Awards 2014. Network Rail won for its new and innovative Linear Assets Decision Support (LADS) system. LADS is powered by Bentley Optram, an operational performance modeling system that enables proactive management of linear railway assets. The IET awards, which celebrate the very best innovations in science, engineering, and technology, are judged by a panel of industry experts. 

Bentley Systems today announced the immediate availability of Bentley Utilities Designer, a comprehensive application for the streamlined design and management of electric, gas, water, and wastewater utility networks. The new software advances the building information modeling objectives of faster/earlier design decisions and the creation of better-performing, intelligent utility infrastructure through the use of information modeling.
