AMETEK Calibration Instruments

Two new products have been added to the AMETEK Taylor Hobson range of surface measurement testers. Surtronic Duo is a portable surface roughness tester for shop floor and on-site measurement of multiple roughness parameters. The Intra Touch contour and finish measurement system is for precision machining and many other applications.  

A new extractive combustion gas analyzer with industry-leading safety support has been introduced by AMETEK Process Instruments. As the first instrument in its class to be third-party certified for SIL-2 implementation in Safety Instrumented Systems, the Thermox WDG-V offers a complete solution for combustion process control and safety.

A new vaneaxial fan designed for high performance cooling with powerful airflow has been introduced by AMETEK Rotron. The MAXIAX 9.25 can develop the necessary pressure to deliver 707-944 Litres per second (L/s) [1500 to 2000 cubic feet per minute (cfm)] against a system impedance of 0.99-1.5 kilo Pascals (kPa) [4 to 6 inches of water gauge (iwg)].

The advanced design of the new ROTRON Minispiral 12V HDC Extra Flow / Extra Wide Regenerative Blower combines a high-performance DC brushless motor / blower with a state-of-the-art electronics package to deliver air flows up to 12 standard cubic feet per minute and air pressures up to 26 inches of water gauge from a four-inch diameter package size.

AMETEK Test & Calibration Instruments has introduced two additions to its CHATILLON line of advanced materials testing systems: the CHATILLON CS225 and CS1100. Both single-column machines feature the latest linear guide technology, pre-loaded ball screws and advanced software compensation systems, ensuring the highest level of precision displacement measurement.

Two ultra-compact Vaneaxial fans with brushless DC induction motors for high-reliability spot cooling in tightly packaged electronic and optical equipment have been introduced by AMETEK Rotron. The Minimax and Nanos II/3 fans employ a new form factor with integrated DC electronic drives, allowing for direct operation from a 28 VDC power supply.

Two intrinsically safe pressure calibrators for use in hazardous oil, gas, petrochemical and many other applications have been introduced by AMETEK Test & Calibration Instruments. The dual-sensor JOFRA HPC552 Ex handles two pressure ranges in a single unit to reduce cost and simplify use. Both the dual-sensor and the single-sensor Model HPC550 Ex include LCD backlighting for enhanced visibility in difficult operating conditions.

Haydon Kerk Motion Solutions, a premier manufacturer of engineered linear motion products, offers customers the ability to configure and download CAD models of its newest linear actuator product, the SplineRail.

The PK II Pneumatic Deadweight Tester from AMETEK Calibration Instruments is a primary standard that is one of the most accurate portable pressure testers in the world. Suitable for use in the laboratory or the field, the PK II can be used in batch production of pressure transducers, fiscal metering in the oil and gas industry. Using no electricity, water or oil in the measurement process, it is particularly well suited to applications in hazardous areas.

AMETEK Calibration Instruments has announced that the JOFRA range of IPI Industrial Pressure Indicators is now ATEX and CSA certified for use in potentially explosive environments in the field or in calibration laboratories. ATEX is the primary intrinsically safe standard in the European Union, while CSA refers to relevant Canadian and USA standards.

AMETEK Calibration Instruments has further enhanced its range of pressure generation products with the launch of the T-960, T-970 and T-975 pneumatic calibration pumps. The T-900 series calibration pump is used to generate pressure and vacuum (specific models) for checking, adjusting and calibrating mechanical and electronic pressure measuring instruments by comparative measurements. These pressure tests may be carried out in laboratories, workshop or on site at the measuring point.

The new JOFRA AMC910 multi-purpose calibrator from AMETEK Calibration Instruments provides high precision signal, temperature and pressure calibrations. With the performance of a laboratory calibrator, an additional isolated measurement channel and optional external pressure modules, the system is ideally suited for multiple calibration requirements.
