The modular MultiBaffling system, which has the same dimensions and ports as conventional DIN reactors, consists of several removable baffles that can be attached to the reactor wall. These can be readjusted and removed as necessary, to give an almost endless choice of angles to suit a variety of applications – and provide simplified cleaning of the inner vessel.
Previously, the number of nozzles determined the number of baffles inside the reactor, whereas MultiBaffling allows up to six side-wall baffles in different designs to be fitted, so that even the most diverse processes can be implemented. Nozzles previously used for traditional baffles are now free and available for other services.
The option for replacing each baffle allows plant operators to not only adjust the baffling efficiency required for a specific process, but also to easily replace a damaged baffle without having the downtime to remove the entire reactor from the plant.
