The TRUMPF TruTool TKA 500 continues to prove its value for portable chamfering and deburring. It provides excellent surface quality that is so important for clean, visible welded edges.
A good straight cut edge is a characteristic of laser cutting but with plasma cutting the result is much more variable. A deviation of 2° to 5° is commonplace and this can impair the quality of the finished product.

Now its application has been extended to include the machining of plasma cut sheets thanks to the development of a special cutter mount. This enables the operator to make accurate radii of 2mm to 3mm in one single operation.

The TKA 500 is a superior alternative to an angle grinder. It can machine different internal and external geometries in a variety of materials with absolute precision and without the danger of flying spark or health-threatening dust. The result is a surface edge absolutely free of oxide.

The high-power 1400 Watt motor on the TKA 500 and triple-blade tool system enable high feed rates and integrated vibration-dampening ensure fatigue-free operation. It is able to cut 45 and 30 angles as well as radii edges. Chamfer height is easily and precisely adjusted without the need for extra tools.

Typical applications for the TKA 500 include the chamfering of bearing components in automotive manufacture and T-beams in steel construction. It will also prove beneficial in tool and die construction, container manufacture, shipbuilding and many other sectors.
