New Mosa Diesel Welder Generator From Wilkinson Star
Wilkinson Star Limited has announced the launch of a new MOSA CT230 YSX CC/CV diesel welder generator for general on-site plant, pipeline and equipment maintenance applications as well as the hire market.
This new diesel welder generator has a super silenced canopy and is rated 210A @ 35% duty cycle for MMA (Manual Metal Arc) welding using up to 4mm diameter basic or rutile electrodes in any position. It is also fitted with CC/CV control for solid wire and flux cored MIG welding using the optional WF4 wire feed package. The CV mode enables the infinitely variable control to set the correct voltage to weld flux cored wires. The welding current and voltage is controlled using HF Chopper Technology, which gives the machine, the same control over the welding arc as obtained using inverter based welders.

It also has a 5kVA single phase 230/110V output socket for use with power tools and MOSA’s patented ‘Power Optimiser’ PCB, which optimises the welding current without overloading the engine.
The user can also fit an optional TC2 remote welding control unit to enable current adjustment 20 metres away from the machine.

Other features include a single cylinder Yanmar L100 6.5kW (8.8HP) output, air-cooled, 4-stroke, diesel engine that meets EU gas emission regulations, a MOSA asynchronous welding alternator and engine shut down protection, in case of low oil pressure as well as 20 hours continuous operation on one tank of fuel.

For operator safety, this welder generator is also fitted with a VRD (Voltage Reduction Device) to ensure that only low voltages are present at the welding terminals when the machine is idling.
