MagicWeld 200 engine driven welder from Wilkinson Star

This new portable engine driven welder is designed for MMA (Stick) welding applications in agriculture, on construction sites, for rail infrastructure work, shipbuilding and general maintenance, in fact on any site application as well as for use by the hire industry.

A feature of this welder is its ‘Power Optimiser’, a MOSA patented PCB that provides high frequency control of the voltage and the welding current without overloading the engine.

MagicWeld 200’s DC welding output is rated 200A @ 60% duty cycle and an OCV (Open Circuit Voltage) 40-70V making it suitable for all types of electrodes up to 4mm. It also features a 110V, 2kW, single phase 50Hz inverter generator for interference-free auxiliary AC output for running power tools and ancillary equipment.
For greater welding output two machines can be connected together using the optional PAR600 paralleling kit.

Other features include auto idle which automatically reduces the engine speed to idle after 20 seconds inactivity, engine shut down if oil pressure drops, a low operating noise level of 74dB(A) at 7 metres, a 5.3 litre fuel tank giving a running time of 3.3 hours at 60% duty cycle and it is very portable weighing only 57kg.
