Hidrostal’s Auto Desludger – The Solution For Unmanned Sites

The Hidrostal Auto Desludger is the solution for unmanned sites as its automatic timing device replaces the need for regular operator intervention. The equipment is designed to enable completely automatic desludging to be achieved under hydrostatic head conditions. Installation can be carried out in a single day, is simple and requires no additions other than a small power supply. On installation the times are set for frequency and duration of operation, the system being infinitely adjustable to suit the needs of the works. The desludger is housed in a quality-built weather proof enclosure, and can generally be installed on any type of primary or secondary tank. Where multiple units are used on one site, they can either have individual control panels, supplied as standard, or can be operated via a main central panel with just a simple junction box being housed in each unit.

Treatment plants within Severn Trent Water, Welsh Water and Southern Water areas have recently installed the Hidrostal Auto Desludger all of which are delivering impressive results. In the last two years for instance, Southern Water has installed them into six of their unmanned sites.
