Chemineer’s Spiral Mixing Solution in Saudi

To prevent valuable product from carbonizing, the Chemineer Helix will operate at very slow speeds, with its primary function to promote mixing by scraping the tank-wall clean over the heat-transfer area.

Requiring close-wall clearance with a very tight tolerance of 90mm +/- 10mm, the Helix will also be utilized for blending of solvents and for recirculation purposes. The Mixer is externally mounted, so built with a heavy-duty drive system and dry-well seals to withstand the harsh desert environment.

Originally specified as an Anchor Mixer, but through close consultation with the engineering contractor and the process plant owner, Chemineer demonstrated that the Helix design would significantly improve the quality of blending in the tank.
