Carier Separator gets Manchester firm out of a pickle

Handling high fibre, difficult to separate onion skins and beetroot, the Carier RS/1000 Rotoscreen, which is capable of throughputs from 3 to 70 M3/hr, has reduced COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) by over 40% and Suspended Solids by almost 70%.

Available exclusively from Linton Solutions, the Carier Rotoscreen successfully addresses the need for food manufacturers to separate solids from liquids, which greatly diminishes the strength of their wastewater and subsequently reduces their effluent bill as the local water company has fewer impurities to deal with.

Based on the rotary screen principle, with press rollers that produce a dry solid residue, the Carier Rotascreen separates waste of differing consistencies without the need for dilution, mixing or adjustment. Made primarily with 304 stainless steel, this proven technology from Linton Solutions (over 500 units installed) can be operated automatically with appropriate control/sensors and be supplied with automatic washdown on completion of cycle.

Following the success of the first Carier Separator/De-Waterer, the pickle company has also now installed the smaller Carier RS/400 model.
