Aquamatic’s Wastewater Samplers prove their worth for Black & Veatch in Ajman
In Ajman, part of the United Arab Emirates, MCERTS-approved Wastewater Samplers from Manchester based Aquamatic are demonstrating their capability and reliability in extreme temperatures.
Black & Veatch, a leading global engineering, consulting and construction company, invested in Aquamatic’s Wastewater Samplers for Ajman to ensure exemplary monitoring and environmental standards for what is the Emirate's first state-of-the-art sewerage system. Designed and built by Black & Veatch for 350,000 people, connecting more than 45,000 properties to modern sanitation facilities for the first time, the project utilises the very latest energy-efficient technology to treat the collected wastewater to a quality suitable for re-use in irrigation, thus delivering a valuable resource to this desert landscape.

Ian Cooper, Project Manager at Black & Veatch, commented: “Aquamatic’s Wastewater Samplers provide us with a very effective means of monitoring water quality for the overall betterment of this important project. The summer temperatures here of around 43C (almost 110F) haven’t affected the first-rate performance of the samplers”.

Jeremy Smith, Managing Director of Aquamatic, added: “Black & Veatch’s work in Ajman demonstrates that wastewater re-use is feasible, sustainable and economical, so we are very pleased to see our Wastewater Samplers playing their part in this innovative project”.
