TECHNOLOGIES OF THE FUTURE AT THE 7TH ALUMINIUM TWO THOUSAND CONGRESS 2011, IN BOLOGNA, ITALY

Along with the motto “Let’s build the future of the aluminium world together” there is good news from the aluminium world: the Aluminium Two Thousand Congress features the technologies of the future, presented by experts from 25 different countries (Algeria, Austria, Brasil, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Liechtenstein, Norway, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Turkey, U.A.E., U.K., U.S.A.). Compared to the previous 6 editions of the Congress there will be a record number of presentations (106). The absolute high quality and innovation of the contents allow to easily foresee the great success of the 7th World Congress Aluminium Two Thousand that will take place in Bologna from May 17th to May 21st, 2011.
The 3-day Congress (with 3 parallel sessions) will be followed by an Extrusion Workshop, organized in collaboration with the Engineering Department of the University of Bologna, where the experts, Prof. Tomesani, Prof. Donati, Ph.D. Segatori, Dr. Reggiani, Dr. Vincenzi, will give specific lessons on new researches in the extrusion field.
A specific “Russian Day” has been organized for Russian-speaking delegates and it will feature the major technologies presented during the 3 days of the Congress with simultaneous translation in Russian. It is a great opportunity for Russian entrepreneurs to enter in contact with potential European suppliers and customers.
The technical tours, that will take place after the conclusion of the Congress days, have been organized in order to show the latest technologies and applications of aluminium in different fields (extrusion, finishing with anodizing and coating, automotive field).
We wish to draw your attention to the visit to a very modern and automatic extrusion plant (see picture), PROFILATI S.P.A., located near Bologna.
For those interested in visiting an automatic anodizing and coating plant with an innovative waste water treatment system carried out with the DRY-PLUS technology, that reduces sludge by 50%, we suggest the visit to ANOXIDALL S.r.l.
The third tour is dedicated to those who are interested in aluminium applied to the automotive field and for those who have a passion for engines. All participants will be thrilled by the tours to Maserati Cars, Ducati Motorcycles (the new “home” of the world champion Valentino Rossi) e and to the Ferrari Gallery, the only place in the world where it is possible to admire all the new and old Ferrari cars. It is located in Maranello near the historical and new Ferrari factory.
The unforgettable experiences offered by the Congress continue with the rich social program that will allow all participants to relate with delegates / speakers and why not, also accompanying persons.
On the evening of Tuesday May 17th, all participants will be able to assist to a Classical Music Concert in the picture gallery room of an impressive Renaissance palace.
On the evening of Thursday May 19th there will be the not-to-be-missed Gala Dinner in a medieval palace of Bologna built in the 14th century. This special evening will feature Bologna’s haute cuisine and dances for all the participants until late: a brief return to the past after a 3 day trip in the future of aluminium.
Accompanying persons will not be bored, they will be offered a brief tour or organized activity for each day of the congress.
The Congress activities will end on Saturday May 21st with the final tour for speakers, delegates and accompanying persons in Verona, for a full immersion in the antique city of Romeo and Juliette and a look at the romantic Garda Lake. As usual, it will be a joyful, maybe slightly nostalgic, farewell to 2015.
