The status of ‘Approved Service & Repair Centre’ for ATB Laurence Scott (ATB LS), the centre of excellence for the design and manufacture of mid and high voltage induction motors has, been awarded to Sulzer. With such a large installed machinery base, the manufacturer is keen to ensure that it can maintain a high level of maintenance service.
The agreement allows for a year-on-year extension, and both ATB LS and Sulzer believe this demonstrates the long term commitment and is testament to the strong, collaborative working relationship, whilst providing a high standard of service delivery. The agreement also allows for an exchange of technical, engineering and manufacturing data.
Keith Osbourne, After Sales Manager at ATB LS explained: “We have the unique ability to provide customers with over 100 years of technical expertise in fields as diverse as processing, manufacturing, oil and gas, petrochemicals, water, sewage, mining, nuclear, and defence environments.”
Osbourne continued: “Coupled with Sulzer, one of the leading independent service providers for all brands of rotating equipment, including turbines, pumps, compressors, generators, and motors we will give our customers the best possible support with rapid response and quick turnarounds, whilst helping to reduce maintenance costs and increase availability of machinery.”
Operating in similar industrial areas and with backgrounds in mechanical and electrical equipment, ATB LS and Sulzer believe to have ‘high standards in product quality and reliability.’
Both companies will continue to work closely with the network of OEMs, EPCs, operators and end users with routine and maintenance works respectively.
