Shortlisted from over a hundred entrants, Sudlows reigned triumphant from a short list of three other high profile companies in their category to secure the main prize.
The M.E.N Business of the Year awards, which took place last night at The Hilton Hotel in Manchester, aims to recognise enterprises that have achieved great success, despite the challenging economic conditions.
Sudlows, who were also shortlisted finalists in 2009, impressed the panel with increasing commercial success this year with a healthy growth in both turnover and staff to land the top spot this year.
Competing against Bolton-based foster care provider Modus Communicandi and Irlam party decorations business Party Delights, Sudlows were presented with the coveted trophy by top broadcaster, John Humphreys in front of the regions business elite.
