LC Automation catch the Anybus
LC Automation, the technical distributors of industrial control and safety products, has teamed up with HMS Industrial Networks Ltd, a global leader in network technology, to offer cutting edge solutions to communication headaches.
HMS Industrial Networks, based in Coventry, has grown at break-neck speed after introducing their ‘Anybus’ product – a network card for connecting industrial devices and networks. The company now produces a whole range of modules under the Anybus name. LC Automation is now able to offer these products to its ever-expanding customer base.
Malcolm Chadwick, managing director at LC Automation, said: “With the HMS products we can provide reliable solutions to connect devices such as robots, control systems, motors and sensors to any industrial network.
“The HMS network cards and know-how enable customers to broaden their market and implement devices regardless of network environment. This makes the HMS technology a must-have for any system integrator or manufacturer of industrial equipment wishing to operate globally.”
HMS offers more than 300 ‘off the shelf’ gateways, capable of solving a vast range of industrial communication problems. The Gateways allow the translation of data from one fieldbus network to another such as Profibus to Modbus. HMS also has communicators which allow the translation of serial data to a fieldbus network.

David Folley, sales and business development manager at HMS Industrial Networks, said: “We are pleased to welcome LC Automation on board as a value added reseller of our product range. The team is hugely pro-active and offers technical support second-to-none in the industry.

“We look forward to them becoming our eyes and ears in the market place and seeing how they innovatively use our products to their customers benefit.”
