Carter Sullivan’s national team of field engineers operate across the country in some of the most remote and hostile environments. To maximise the efficiency of the team, each team member has been issued with their own individual PDA handset featuring an integrated specialist software programme called ‘Clik’.
Using this programme engineers now provide instant real time analysis of each and every installation allowing head office to administer and re schedule the works programme on an hour by hour basis thereby improving the work flow and minimising costly delays.
More importantly, the programme allows its customers to log on remotely via the web and view the progress of each installation as it happens. The data analysis details the specifics of each project, from the list of specified materials and budgeted costs through to timings and the histories of specific component parts so aiding future maintenance programmes.
Mark Anderson, Carter Sullivan’s Managing Director is delighted with the results of the investment and improved levels of customer satisfaction. “Our efficiency and response times are considerably improved, as the company expands and the workloads increase we must continue to invest in our product by improving our management systems” says Mark. “the response so far is very encouraging and clients have been very enthusiastic to engage with the new technology”.
Carter Sullivan acts as the main installation and maintenance contractor for a number of major UPS manufacturers including the world’s number one brand Eaton Power. With this enhanced software programme and shared access, customers like Eaton Power can remotely monitor and oversee each installation.
“It helps me keep track of jobs so I know in advance what issues may occur, in addition I can now give customers instant delivery dates on their equipment without having to make calls myself and keep the client waiting “says Luke Andrews, Service Sales Manager at Eaton Power.
“It’s a great addition to Carter Sullivan’s operation and really enhances the level of service we receive” says David Miller Managing Director NSSE (Network Security Systems Europe).
