Farnell has been recognised by its suppliers for outstanding achievement and presented with the below awards at this year’s electronica:

Strongest New Customer Growth 2010 - Bourns

This award, presented by Ferdinand Leicher, European Vice President of Sales at Bourns,

was presented to Farnell for its exceptional new customer acquisitions throughout 2010, especially demonstrating the success Farnell has achieved with the Bourns Multifuse® product range.

European High Service Distributor 2010 - International Rectifier

The European High Service Distributor 2010 award was presented by Adam White, Senior Vice President, Global Sales at IR in recognition of Farnell’s exceptional sales performance in 2010. This was presented in recognition of Farnell’s continued commitment to deliver the highest performance in the propotion of new products and technologies into the designer community.

Sales and Revenue Growth 2010 – Emerson Network Power

Phil Lamb, Vice President of Sales for Europe at Emerson Network Power presented its Excellence in Distribution Award to Farnell based on Farnell’s exceptional growth in sales of embedded power supplies throughout Europe in 2010.

New Product Introduction (NPI) Excellence 2010 - LeCroy

The NPI Excellence award was presented by Roberto Petrillo, Vice President of Sales Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa at LeCroy in recognition of Farnell’s exceptional performance in delivering new products to market, with innovative sales and marketing tools. LeCroy acknowledged Farnell placed ahead of other distributors and were particularly impressed with the breadth of Farnell’s eCommerce marketing channels.

Sales Award 2010 – TDK-EPC

Farnell has received the coveted ‘TDK-EPC’ Sales Award, presented by Dietmar Jaeger, Senior Director Distribution Sales for TDK-EPC. This award is in recognition of the impressive sales growth, in excess of 60% for Farnell Europe. TDK-EPC, which was formed in October 2009 by the combination of TDK’s electronic components business with EPCOS, markets its products under the product brands of TDK and EPCOS. The inductor/magnetics product range from TDK-EPC is number one in Farnell’s inductor portfolio.

Outstanding Contribution to Microchip Development Tool Sales in 2009 / 2010 - Microchip

Premier Farnell was recognised as Microchip’s number one Global distributor for development tool sales by being presented with the Outstanding Contribution Award for Microchip Development Tool Sales. The presentation was made by CEO Steve Sanghi of Microchip Technology to CEO of Premier Farnell, Harriet Green at electronica.
