Top prize in the Farnell element14 University IoT Challenge has been won by a University of West London (UWL) academic. Electrical testers make technicians jobs easier
Two electrical testers - theT6-600 and T6-1000 - from Fluke are on sale at Farnell element14. They use a novel non-contact voltage sensing technique for fast, safe and reliable voltage measurements. The FieldSense technology used in the T6-600 and T6-1000 replaces the traditional test lead contact probe with an open fork construction in which the fork is slid over a conductor and detects the voltage level. Voltages up to 1000V AC can be sensed through the open fork without using test leads.

Thermal imaging camera helps cut test times
Designed for quick temperature checks on printed circuit boards and other small electronics the FLIR ETS320 Thermal Imaging camera is available at distributor Farnell element14. It can be used in the laboratory, for accurate quality assurance and factory acceptance testing. Heat can be an important factor in understanding how a system is functioning and the camera provides non-contact thermal measurement through a combination of a high sensitively infrared camera with an integrated stand for hands-free measurement.
