Edbro cylinders help Feldbinder live up to its company motto

Silos are airtight and secure structures which are used to store bulk materials such as grain, coal, cement and wood chippings. The correct storage of such materials is vital to protect them from rain and extreme temperatures so that they do not spoil or become unfit for purpose. Loading and unloading the silos can be challenging because of the importance of maintaining their protective environment; standard conveying or pallet loading is not possible. For this reason many operators choose to use silo vehicles, specially built commercial vehicles which are designed to load and unload material safely while also protecting cargo from the elements during transport.

The CS series is the flagship range of hydraulic tipping cylinders from Edbro, the world’s biggest manufacturer of tipping gear for commercial vehicles. Designed for front end truck and trailer applications, CS cylinders are manufactured using cutting edge manufacturing techniques, which allow Edbro to save up to 78kg when compared to the closest comparable competitor product. A unique laser welding technique is used to create a one-piece tube construction which maximises the size of the stop contact faces. This improves the strength of the cylinder which maximises its reliability even when operated at higher speeds.
