CCS announces that it has taken delivery of the first volume production of its award-winning backhaul solution from market-leading manufacturer MTI .
Established in 1983, MTI was the first company to specialise in the design and manufacture of RF and microwave communication products in Taiwan and has built a market-leading position in this area. MTI is headquartered in the Hsinchu Science Park, also known as the “Silicon Valley of Taiwan”, with additional manufacturing facilities located in China and R&D centers in California, US and Hilleroed, Denmark.
MTI manufactured the self-organising nodes at its facility in Wuxi, in the Jiangsu province of China. CCS nodes are small, robust and purposely designed for quick, discreet and easy installation on street furniture – in less than 15 minutes, without the need for radio planning or manual alignment. Each unit has a wide 270-degree field of view and only one unit is required per lamppost. With connection support for up to 16 other nodes in a unique multipoint-to-multipoint topology, CCS’ backhaul nodes provide increased resiliency and redundancy.
Commenting on the volume shipment, CEO and Co-Founder Steve Greaves said: “As a rapidly growing and innovative company, we’ve racked up many “firsts”, but taking delivery of our first volume production marks a very significant milestone for CCS as a commercial organisation. We are honoured to be partnering with acknowledged industry leaders MTI as we scale up implementation of our backhaul solution to our customers across the world.”
