Astrium's Symetri is an Autodesk Gold-Tier Partner, a member of the Autodesk' Developer Network, an Autodesk Consulting services partner as well as an Autodesk Authorised Training Centre (ATC) delivering Autodesk-certified training courses. The contract includes 45 licences for Autodesk Inventor, 53 Vault Professional licences, as well as comprehensive training, onsite consultancy, systems integration services and on-going support across Brush Electrical Machines (BEM) and Brush Transformers. This UK deployment is part of a major European deployment of Autodesk solutions across all of BRUSH's European offices.
BRUSH sets the global standard for the manufacture of turbo generators and transformers, and we're committed to making our design and product development processes as streamlined as possible. Implementing digital prototyping is an important part of this commitment, and we're delighted that Symetri will be helping BRUSH to implement a best practice solution based on best-in-class Autodesk solutions, commented Roy Beardshaw, Engineering Manager at BRUSH.
In addition to a software supplier we also wanted a specialist partner that could work closely with the team at BRUSH and make sure we make the most of our investment in Autodesk's digital prototyping capabilities. Right from the start it was clear that Symetri could support us in all aspects of our Autodesk implementation, and could play an important role in helping BRUSH to increase the efficiency of our design and product development processes.
BRUSH understands the need for continuous innovation, increased development agility and rapid time-to-market in order to maintain its global leadership position, added Colin Watson - Director of Symetri. Autodesk Inventor, with its ability to bring together design data from all phases of the product development process, will play a key part in helping BRUSH to streamline its development activities, accelerating innovation and unlocking significant added value for Brush Electrical Machines and Brush Transformers. Astrium, through its Symetri Service, is delighted to be supporting BRUSH on this important project.
Autodesk Inventor software creates a single digital model that will give BRUSH design engineers the ability to design, visualise and simulate their products before anything is built. By creating a single digital prototype, BRUSH will be able to reduce its expenditure on costly physical prototypes and integrate design data from all phases of the product development process. Autodesk Vault Professional is an easy-to-use data management tool that integrates with Autodesk Inventor to help design teams track work-in-progress and maintain version control in multi-user environments. It features functionality for tracking engineering change orders, managing bills of material and exchanging data with other business systems.
