Altair ProductDesign Opens New Offices to Better Serve Aerospace Clients in the UK’s South West

“Altair’s Product Design business has continued to gain momentum through the current economic difficulties,” said Jamie Buchanan, Director Altair ProductDesign UK. “We’ve achieved a threefold increase in our Aerospace projects in the past twelve months. As the aerospace industry continues to pursue the move from metallic to composite structures, our unrivalled experience in optimisation combined with our lightweight design philosophy has proved invaluable to our clients in the South West. The region is extremely important to our growth plans and we’re really pleased to welcome Paul to head up our activities in the region.”

Paul Kirkham comes to Altair having gained extensive experience of simulation driven design, finite element analysis (FEA) and optimisation within the automotive and aerospace industries. He has recently completed highly successful projects for GKN Aerospace, GE Aviation, Honeywell Aerospace and Jaguar Land Rover. In the automotive sector, he was instrumental in the Noise Vibration & Harshness (NVH) development of the Freelander2. Paul's appointment will enable Altair to further extend its client portfolio and provide a dedicated service for clients in the South West region.
