ElectroFlo is an efficient thermal analysis software solution that combines the power of coupled thermal/electrical analysis with a user-friendly graphical interface to provide solutions for complex problems studied by analysts and designers. ElectroFlo was the first software package to incorporate coupled thermal/electrical analysis that gives much more accurate results for systems containing wires and traces. The software can be used in any electronics application from component-level to printed circuit board analysis, all the way up to the system level. It is particularly useful for analyzing high current applications.
TES’ ElectroFlo specializes in thermal analysis of electronics, but it is also applicable in other disciplines. ElectroFlo has the capability to measure computation fluid dynamics, giving it the ability to expand its relevancy to other industries such as automotive, consumer goods, heavy equipment and energy. Thermal analysis and CFD work together to determine the best path for cooling or heating agents to ravel in order to optimize the thermal performance. Also, by measuring strong and weak areas, ElectroFlo is able to help the analyst make better decisions during the design and development process.
“We are excited to be a part of Altair’s innovative HyperWorks Partner Alliance,” said TES International’s president Dr. Jeff Lewis. “We are thrilled to be working closely with another well-respected high-tech company based in Michigan. This partnership is beneficial for all. It provides TES with access to Altair’s global customer base to further software adoption of ElectroFlo, meanwhile Altair customers have simplified access to a thermal analysis tool that is proven in the electronics industry and relevant for a variety of other industries. We look forward to incorporating our other products, ThermoFlo and TESuite, into this program in the near future and to a long-term relationship with Altair overall.”
The partnership between Altair and TES International is an especially beneficial one, as it adds a competitive edge to both parties. The Partner Alliance allows HyperWorks users to access a growing collection of solutions using their existing HyperWorks units and therefore realizing a greater return on their HyperWorks investment. TES will expand its traction in emerging and new markets as well as solidify its position in more mature sectors.
“Altair is delighted to welcome TES International to the HyperWorks Partner Alliance,” said Antoine Poussier, Altair’s vice president of global partner programs. “ElectroFlo strengthens our thermal analysis offering for HyperWorks customers, and we anticipate that engineers from many industries will be able to leverage the benefits of this technology in their product development process. This latest addition furthers the commitment of the HWPA to provide a portfolio of leading solutions to its users in a simplified and cost effective manner that empowers them and fosters innovation.”
HyperWorks customers benefit from being able to access Altair’s powerful and inventive licensing system. This structure maximizes the customers’ investment in the HyperWorks license by increasing its overall versatility. Each license comprises HyperWorks units which allow users to have access to 28 applications developed by Altair in an easily accessible manner. To further the customers’ investment, Altair has opened this model up to third-party companies to include their applications, known as the HWPA. The overall flexibility of these HyperWorks Units empowers users to harness the power of the largest and most complete suite of CAE applications available, giving designers and engineers access to complete solutions. The HWPA strives to provide the most comprehensive offering of relevant software across numerous domains. Altair HyperWorks customers can immediately access ElectroFlo with other TES International solutions soon to follow, through the HWPA.
