Alpha Electronics has received full UKAS Accreditation for its test equipment calibration laboratory. The Accreditation has been gained in the field of DC and LF measurements, which covers the core products used by electrical contractors, utilities and other major establishments and organisations.
As a nationwide distributor of handheld and portable electrical and electronic test equipment, including Thermal Imagers and Power Quality instruments, from all the major manufacturers, Alpha Electronics also offers sales, hire, repair and training services. Frank Morris, Managing Director of Alpha Electronics, commented, “We are delighted to receive UKAS accreditation following a recent assessment against internationally recognised standards which demonstrate our competence, impartiality and performance capability. This accreditation means we offer the highest traceability to national standards. We are also registered through Achilles both as a Link-up qualified supplier to the Rail Industry and as a qualified supplier to Utilities companies.”

By gaining Accreditation, Alpha Electronics can now offer a range of options for certification of equipment, to suit individual customer needs and requirements.

Alpha Electronics has recently integrated all its southern operations into new, enlarged premises in Maidstone, Kent, to cope with an expanding workload. The company also has premises at Atherton, Greater Manchester, and in Newport, South Wales (The Instrument Centre).
