Adept is pleased to announce that it has recently been appointed as a distributor for Vision Research for Australia and New Zealand. Vision Research is a world leader in the design and development of high-speed cameras and selected Adept to expand their existing business in Oceania because of Adept's prominence in the region and because of the technical expertise in the company.
Marc Fimeri the Managing Director of Adept said “We’re very excited to represent this great line of products. Vision Research have continued to lead the field in high-speed imaging and repeatedly develop new innovative features and products that flow through our industry. Just recently they have released the first high speed camera capable of taking 1,000,000 frame per second. Adept is proud to have been given this opportunity.”

Vision Research provides high speed cameras for industry and cinematography. The Miro, Phantom V and Phantom HD series of cameras include 11 cameras with several memory configurations each. The Miro series feature compact handheld cameras that are lightweight and for untethered use. The Miro series starts with the Miro 1 which is Vision Research's entry-level camera and includes the Miro 2 workhorse camera, Miro 3 for high-G defence applications and the Miro 4 the flagship Miro camera.

The Phantom V series ranges from the V5.2 with megapixel resolution at 1000fps to the v7.3, v9.1, v10 and most recently the v12 which offers the fastest megapixel recording speed in the high-speed camera industry.

The Phantom HD and Phantom 65 are designed for cinematographic applications with excellent image quality, 1000fps plus 35mm film compatibility. The Phantom 65 offers the highest pixel count in the industry and offers 65mm and HD formats.

Vision Research prides itself in the high resolution of its images, the power of its software, the reliability of its products and its high level of attentiveness and dedication to its customers. The innovative Phantom camera systems from Vision Research have been groundbreaking in being the first to offer EDR Extended Dynamic Range for HS (dual slope integration), Auto Exposure control, CAR (continuously adjustable resolutions), setting increments of 1, continuous recording, massive non-volatile storage medium with the CineMag and many more. They offered the first digital cameras with 60,000 frames-per-second and 150,000fps and have recently released the first CMOS camera capable of 1,000,000fps.

The future undoubtedly holds more technology innovation and unique products from Vision Research in store. The company's development goals include electronic imaging products with higher resolution and faster frame rates and smarter cameras with more powerful and robust software. While hardware and software products are important, the company realizes that its key to future success is the same now as it was in 1950 and that is listening to and serving its customers.
