With 62%* of British people believing they are under greater threat of violent attack than at any time since the Second World War, counter terror measures have never been higher on the business agenda. With this in mind, the world’s largest annual security event, IFSEC will feature a new counter terror area when it takes place in May.

Crime in the UK retail sector has rocketed, costing the industry on average £3.91bn every year, consisting of the losses from thefts by customers, staff and suppliers, and the cost of security. In response to this, the organisers of IFSEC have announced the launch of a new conference, dedicated to tackling crime, fighting fraud and minimising shrinkage in the retail industry. Taking place at Earls Court Conference Centre, on Thursday 10th April 2008, Retail Security 2008 will focus on the most critical retail security issues through expert analysis and interactive high-level debate.
