The lube-free chain design, ‘Lambda’ from Tsubaki has been adopted by many different industries, ever since 1988, for a diverse range of applications. Designed with a special oil-impregnated bush, the chain is internally lubricated meaning it benefits from an extremely long operating life without requiring additional maintenance or messy external lubrication.

A second plant is due to be set up in Europe by drive chain maker Tsubakimoto. Located in the Czech Republic, Tsubaki Automotive Czech Republic will manufacture and assemble timing chain drive systems and associated products for leading car manufacturers across Europe.

Experiencing some severe problems with its backstop clutches, manufacturers of a bucket elevator turned to Tsubaki for a solution. The problems included resulting in intensive maintenance and frequent replacement, yet Tsubaki replaced the trapped roller design with a sprag clutch, which delivered a higher torque capacity and longer life.

  Designed to make disassembling of its single strand roller chain fast and simple is the bench mounted chain breaker, newly launched by Tsubaki.

The CR series includes 24 models using high quality steel roller chain, and a further 28 CN Series models using a lube free nylon chain. Each model consists of two dedicated sprockets with hardened teeth connected with a double strand roller chain.
