PPT VISION, here, today announced the addition of two high-performance JAI cameras to its M-Series embedded machine vision system line, including an ultra-violet (UV) camera for inspections that benefit from this shorter wavelength of light, as well as a remote-head “industrial endoscopy” model for special applications. Additionally, the release of the IMPACT™ 10.2 software supports the growing M-Series vision system family with streamlined functionality and expanded image management capabilities.

Marcel Heugen, an expert in machine vision and industrial automation engineering, will now serve as a senior consultant for PPT VISION’s European headquarters here. In this role, he will support PPT VISION’s European Operations, headquartered in the Netherlands, under the direction of Ivar Keulers, European sales manager for PPT VISION.

PPT VISION now extends a full one-year guarantee on its complete line of machine vision camera installations, including hardware, software and accessories, as well as the overall performance in meeting the application requirements.

PPT VISION announces high-resolution M-390 Smart Cameras deliver greater accuracy for high-precision machine vision applications. The M-390 cameras can be used as part of PPT VISION’s IMPACT® M-Series Embedded Vision System—a single system with four independently operating cameras running distinct inspection, guidance or identification programs. The IMPACT M-Series System’s unique design allows operators to mix and match camera resolutions for all points of inspection—providing the flexibility to deploy cameras that are specifically suited to each of the separate inspection requirements. With increased resolution—16 times the resolution of VGA (640 x 480) vision cameras—the IMPACT M-390 Smart Cameras provide ideal solutions for the inspections that require more precision.

PPT VISION’s newly released IMPACT® M-Series Embedded Vision System delivers increased precision and speed to automated inspection, guidance and identification production processes. Featuring up to four asynchronously triggered cameras that run on a single processor, the M-Series Embedded Vision System allows each M-Series camera to be independently optimized with the appropriate speed, resolution and size. With high-speed camera frame rates—up to 210 frames per second—the IMPACT M-Series Embedded Vision System provides complete images to the dual-core processor, allowing capture of fast moving products. Designed with high performance processing, the IMPACT M-Series performs at more than twice the speed of most of today’s cameras, resulting in more high quality inspections.

PPT VISION announces a significant breakthrough in vision system technology and capabilities with their just-released IMPACT® M-Series Embedded Vision System. The new M-Series System allows users to perform up to four unique inspections that can be initiated independently—at different times or simultaneously—utilizing a single vision processor. Significant cost savings are achieved by eliminating the need to purchase multiple systems for separate inspection/guidance programs, as well as greatly reducing setup and networking time.

IMPACT 9.1 enhances the previous pattern find tool with its powerful Pinpoint Pattern Find™ tool, which offers exceptional functionality and ease of use. With the Pinpoint Pattern Find tool, IMPACT 9.1 solves even more challenging applications—including robotic guidance and high-speed inspection of randomly oriented, scaled, and located parts—with sub-pixel accuracy.
